For a number of reasons, it's not often I write here. I fear sometimes I will sound insincere, like I'm preaching, or like I'm asking for something. This is not the case. Christmas is often a time for reflection, falling at the end of our calendar year it is an opportunity to look back at what we've achieved.SFB has had a great 2007. More visitors than ever, more free stuff than ever, and (remarkably) more stability than ever. Keeping a site like SFB online is often a challenge. I have to worry about content, visitors, server issues, bandwidth usage, legal issues, hacks, techy fuck-ups, money, and even keep the odd arguement from blowing up. I mention this as during 2007 that list of things, coupled with my own life, has kept me away from active participation. The Admin & Mod team that login every day and help keep SFB tidy are an absolute godsend during years like this. Without them SFB would be a massive pile of disorganised rubbish. Please raise a glass to them this Christmas, be it a real glass, or by posting in the forums. Next I'd like to mention you, the visitor. Thanks for popping in, from those of you who visit daily, to those of you who drop in only once on your way through. SFB has no fame/monetary gain from visitors, SFB doesn't advertise or sell information, SFB is one of fewer and fewer websites operating for free. I just like having you people around... 2008 will be no different from 2007. SFB will continue to operate for free, hopefully putting up more and more content for the world to enjoy. If you would like to participate more activley during 2008 use the contact us link and let us know how you'd like to help. I don't care if you're a scanner, capper, ripper, writer, painter, bricklayer or programmer. You will be considered, that's how SFB works. I was going to finish up with a silly festive quote... but won't. Happy Christmas SFBers! I hope wherever you are, you are with the ones you love. Seasons Greetings, nast0 Proud Webmaster: www.shitforbrains.org
