Update #2 – What’s Going On?

I know a few users have been in touch asking about YG, and basically I’ve spent weeks wondering what the right thing to do is.  Basically, I can’t knowingly guarantee any image posted here is taken with consent, with permission, or legally.  It’s simply impossible.  I don’t even get time to review what is posted, they are simply queued in a huge batch, and off they run.  Recent comments have highlighted how easily even a matter of judgement could land SFB in hot water.

This creates a problem for the site, and me personally, as I’m just some bloke running a site he started for a laugh 10 years ago.  If something comes the way of the site legally, I’d just shut it in 1 second.  I have a job and a life, and no lawyer.

Then there’s the bigger picture… the authorities are closing in on all facets of the internet.  Removing anonymity, freedom to share, conversations on touchy subjects, privacy, and along with it some of the things that make SFB great.

I’d appreciate any thoughts on the matter in comments, but please be mindful of posting particular keywords.  Search engines pick up every word you type.
